A lot has happened since my last post! Mackenzie has turned 4, my husband is officially a real estate agent, and I am closing my first deal next week! I have been in this really happy place. Yes some things have gone wrong, there have been some hiccups along the way but that’s life. One of my favorite lines from Forest Gump was when he ran though the poop and the he says, “It Happens!” I’ve ran through a lot of figurative poop since the last time I posted, but I just keep going.
I am thankful for my real estate mentor Alycia. We had a meeting yesterday and she pointed out a lot of the things that I was doing wrong. She told me to set times for your clients to reach you. Don’t just jump up when ever someone wants to see a house, put rocks in your schedule. So this week I’m really going to focus on setting boundaries with my clients and other people and really building my business. Sometimes it’s over whelming when you are helping your daughter with homework and a client is calling you like they will DIE if they don’t see this house TODAY! So I am still learning, and I am very open to adjusting myself so that I can be the best at what I do.
Mack is loving every minute of school. I was so worried about letting her go to school! SHE’S GONE FOR 8 HOURS!!! It’s actually been really good for her, well for both of us (lol). I have these moments of clarity when she’s telling me about her day. Mack really isn’t a baby anymore! I tell her everyday how proud I am of her!
So…some lessons I have learned this week:
- No one needs you more than your family
- Don’t be afraid to create boundaries
- Letting go isn’t so hard
